Created with support from Angela's Pulse, BAAD!, Pregones Step Up Residency, 92Y Harkness Dance Residency, Bronx Council on the Arts Art Fund, Bronx Cultural Visions Fund and CUNY Dance Initiative. Here goes the neighborhood . . . will premiere at the Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance (BAAD!) on May 6 and 7, 2022. Alethea Pace and Yin Yue are recipients of the 2021 Harkness Promise Award. The award for innovative choreographers in their first decade of professional work, offers each choreographer a $5,000 grant and 40 hours of rehearsal space, and is funded in part by net proceeds from the annual Dance Magazine Awards ceremony. This year, each awardee is presented in a shared program tonight at Works & Process and each was provided with a fully funded Works & Process LaunchPAD “Process as Destination” residency offering 24/7 devoted studio access, adjacent housing, transportation and living wage fees to further develop tonight’s work.
